Campion was visited by the Aim Higher Roadshow
and saw years 9, 10 and 11 talk about education after leaving
school at 16.

It's never too early to start thinking about going to college,
which is why the Aim Higher Roadshow, sponsored by the Royal
Bank of Scotland, will be visiting schools from November
to talk to Year 9 10 and year 11 students about their options.
The roadshows include:
- Interactive film and website experience about higher
education;
- Practical advice to encourage students to think about
staying in education;

| HIGHER EDUCATION |
THE BIG 5 QUESTIONS
- Can anyone get into higher education?
Yes! Anyone can get into university if they have the qualifications.
No matter who you are, where you come from or what your
background is, if you're keen, you want to learn and you've
worked hard at college to get there, then the door's open!
- Is Uni just for people with loads of money?
There are some tution fees involved, but students from
families with low incomes don't have to pay any fees!
And with student loans you can borrow the money you need
and won't have to pay it off until you start earning.
- Is Higher Education just for swots?
No way! University is there to give young people from
all backgrounds the chance to make their dreams a reality.
If you want a certain job, higher education will give
you that ultimate chance to get there and do it!
- If I get a job earlier instead, won't I get
further, quicker? You might at first, but don't
rush off down the Job Centre just yet! if you have qualifications,
you're likely to get a better starting wage and win promotions
faster. In the end, it'll be like a race between a sleek
F1 car and an old banger!
- Who says Higher Education will get me a job
anyway? Well, you're never guaranteed a job,
but going through higher education means that you're up
to 50% more likely to get a job than someone who hasn't!
Now that sounds pretty good, doesn't it?
