‘Without Europeans, we are nothing’

A study of seven European personalities and their contributions to history

At the heart of our project is a study of famous personalities from ea ch of the partner countries. The schools chose a cross-section of famous people - artists, politicians, explorers, humanitarians, scientists and musicians. Each school worked on its own personality in detail and then chose one or two of the other European personalities. The aim was to do work that the pupils would enjoy. The work would also be cross-curricular – covering subjects such as English, history, geography, art, music, science. At the same time, the teachers wanted the students to gain some idea of our common European heritage and to see how the work of people from all over Europe had made our lives richer.
