Egypt is an Arab Republic located on the north eastern portion of the African continent between Libya and the Gaza Strip/Israel.

Egypt has two sides  that meet the sea, the Mediterranean Sea on the north coast and the Red Sea in the East., to the west there is desert. The land is largely desert broken only by the Nile valley and delta, with hot, dry summers with moderate winters.

Egypt covers an area about 4 times the size of the UK,  roughly 390,000 square miles.
