Edfu and Philae Temples

Philae Temple
This temple, dedicated to Isis, was saved from the floods caused be the construction of the high dam of Aswan by relocating it to the nearby island Agilkia.
A Christian altar within the temple from the time that Greece became Christian. You can tell by the Coptic cross on the side. There is a village on the island.

Everyone has to travel in and out by the boats on the picture, sometimes there are about 20 of them barging in through the rest to get to the landing stage.
