• Jesus taught people to look after each other and trust God.
• He believed that the Old Testament was the word of God and told everyone that he had come to fulfil the word of God not replace what they Jews believed in.
• Much of his teaching was through stories called parables. The Good Samaritan and The Lost Sheep are examples of his parables.
• Jesus also taught people by example. He wanted people to copy what he did.

There are two main rules which Jesus told his followers to live by:

• Love God with all your heart, mind and strength.
• Love your neighbour as yourself.

Jesus said:

"I am the way the life and the truth - no one comes to the Father but by me"
