What Christmas means to me

Christmas means a great many things to a great many people. I asked some children at school what it meant to them, here are their responses.
If you would like to see your own response to that question here please e-mail me Carol Rainbow

Christmas make me think of...
People who collect shoe boxes for the poor...
And Jesus
It reminds me of a happy time for people to remember...
Of love and peace.

...I get to be with my whole family and have dinner with them...
I get to open my presents...
I have a lot of fun with my family.

I think about presents and Jesus' birthday...
love and caring
giving present and
the excitement of seeing relatives.

To me Christmas means Jesus' birthday and giving and receiving.
It represents love, care and presents.

Christmas gives me warmth, happiness, presents and Jesus.
It reminds me of meeting relatives and the colour red.

Christmas is a time to have fun and think of others who aren't as fortunate.
And think about Jesus' birthday.
Thank you for the associations which can help the less fortunate.
Liz Riley

Christmas means a lot to me
Receiving presents and giving presents
I love Christmas because it is Jesus' birthday
That's what Christmas means to me!
A happy time for the family,
Making boxes for people in Kososvo
Seeing smiley faces from the people in Kosovo
and hoping they have a happy Christmas.

Anthony

Christmas is a happy time for me,
For I'm a Christian, Can't you see?
It's a happy time for all my family
We remember Jesus' birthday
Having all the presents, giving all the presents
It's a happy time for me.
Erica

Caring and giving presents in boxes
Having presents given to you
Radios, cassettes, they're all great
Incense, myrrh and gold all given to Jesus
Snowflakes in the glistening sky
Time to sing carols on the streets
Making presents for all your friends
A Beanie baby for me. Great!
Shopping for presents for all the family.
Erica James

At Christmas I like having roast dinner with my family
I like doing the shoe boxes that we send off to foreign countries where they don't get many presents I like it when I wake up and find my sack and stocking full.
I like it as well when we go to other people's houses and meet the rest of the family.
I like it when I come down in the morning and find some more presents under the tree.
