Welcome to the Rainbow Family

We have a pretty chaotic, but very happy household.

H, husband, father, DIY expert, what more can I say? About ten years ago I saw that a small old house in the village had a FOR SALE sign on it. I went home and told H, saying what a wonderful house it would make if it was doubled. It had plenty of land, beautiful views, just outside the village etc etc etc...

Within six months we were living in a building site. It has changed quite dramatically over the last eleven years, but it is not finished. Another two or three years might do it.

Andrew and Phillip, twins and just about as different as it is possible to be. They are 20 this year, Phillip is game keeping, farming etc - all work on the land. Andrew is working his way up in the hotel trade - at the moment restuarant manager level! Working all hours, last one to bed - once the last guest has gone to bed and usually up to serve breakfast to the same guest!

Helen is 16 (nearly 17 - waiting to take her driving test!), clarinetist and saxophonist extraordinaire...she is just about to take grade 8 on her clarinet and grade 6 on piano. If you see my poor old car flying up and down the A44 with amazing regularity it is often to transport madam to some musical event or other. During July Helen will be touring Germany with OCYO (Oxford County Youth Orchestra), she is all over the place playing music!

Carol, wife, mother, teacher, chief cook and bottle washer... main hobbies experimenting with anything on the computer, walking Sam in the countryside, reading and swimming.

An old photograph -sadly Mother in law died last summer and Sam at Christmas!
