We have had a Student Teacher: Miss Claire Hearth, on her final teacher practise and done lots of artwork with her to fit with our Ancient Greek topic. We are sad that she is leaving today (27th March). We wish her luck in her teaching career.
There were two kinds of Greek masks, one was for comedy and the other was for tragedy. They eyes and mouth on the masks was very big so that the actors could see and their voices would travel a long way. Sometimes the masks ere made out of clay. Our masks were made out of card and plastic, we put our on with elastic or card fitted round the head, they held theirs up on a stick.Alice
We made Hoplite shields. We put a scary face on the front like the Greeks did. They used to put scary faces on to scare away the enemy. They used shields to protect themselves. Anthony and Erica
We made olympic medals out of salt dough and cooked them to make them go hard. We sprayed them gold.James
