Dunclug Nursery School, which is situated in a district of Ballymena, is set in extensive, attractive grounds. This school, which is dedicated to providing a caring, rich learning environment, caters for pupils who will always feel valued and understood.

The guiding principle determining our teaching strategy is encapsulated in our aim to ‘open the window of life and learning’.

The central purpose of Dunclug Nursery School is to provide an appropriate education for all the children suited to their age,
aptitude and ability.

It is hoped to provide our children with experiences which will inspire and enhance their understanding of the world about them.

Such a desire will require a form of structuring in a range of activities and opportunities both indoors and out ,to provide the necessary progression and direction to make this possible.

Parental partnership is an essential and vital part of our school. Parents are encouraged to take a full and meaningful role in the education of their child. Our relationship is further enhanced through a range of organised events to support parents in the education of their child. This will ultimately enrich the quality of provision we are striving to deliver through cementing a firm relationship between home and school.

The core of our programme is the child, with the desire that a foundation will be laid to foster a positive attitude to learning, coupled with a sense of adventure.
