Set in the historical Harryville area of Ballymena, Harryville Primary Nursery is a very well appointed, purpose built, unit contained within the main school building.
The accommodation comprises of:

  • a spacious entrance hall where parents and children can enjoy meeting in the mornings.
  • a large, sunny classroom which gives the children the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities at any one time.
  • one smaller room which enables the teacher to split the class into groups for music and story time.
  • a toilet block, a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
  • a staff room / office.
  • a large playground for all weather outdoor play.

All areas can be easily accessed by parents with prams and the unit has been designed to accommodate children who may be confined to a wheelchair.

The Nursery can accommodate 26 children and is staffed by the teacher Mrs McKenna and assistant Miss Kennedy. Often extra help is gained from students on placement from the local training establishments.

Parents are always very welcome in the classroom.
