St. Joseph’s Nursery Unit is a purpose built mobile situated in the grounds of St. Joseph’s Primary School. The Unit was first opened in September 1999 to meet the need for pre-school provision in this rapidly expanding community. The Nursery operates a dual system with 26 children in each session.
At St. Joseph’s, we strongly encourage parental involvement. Over the last year, parents have worked closely with staff to provide valuable learning experiences in gardening, cookery and art as well as operating a weekly lending library, assisting on trips and organising a trip from the fire brigade. Staff, parents and pupils are eagerly looking forward to the building of our new primary school and nursery which is due to be completed in 2001.
