SCHOOL UNIFORM The school governors are anxious that all children should wear school uniform. We are attempting to build a good school image and help the children to identify with their school. The uniform is designed to be simple and inexpensive. The school colours are royal blue, grey and white. It would be very helpful if all clothing and kit is clearly marked with your child's name. If the uniform stated above presents problems on religious grounds, or you have any other difficulties, please contact the school as we may come to some mutually acceptable compromise. P.E. CLOTHING We expect the children to change for P E from a hygiene point of view. For indoor activities the children will need a T-shirt and shorts or a leotard. Most indoor P E is done in bare feet so it may not be necessary to provide footwear for this. For outdoor activities please ensure that your child is adequately clothed for winter weather- a jogging suit an old jumper and a pair of trousers. Trainers are ideal for outdoor activities. Jewellery must not be worn when taking part in physical activities in case of accident. All year round the children in years 5 and 6 go to Fore Street Baths once a week on Wednesdays. They will be expected to wear a swimming hat and either swimming costumes (no bikinis) or trunks. The same rules apply in the Summer Term when we open our own outdoor pool to the rest of the school. Our own pool is usually operational after the Summer Half Term holiday. |
