The Tornado
The Tornado is a British and German plane. It is used by other European countries as well but they didn’t do much for its construction. The Tornado is a long-range bomber and an interceptor. It can go in dogfight or go on bombing missions.
The Engine
The Tornado is powered by two Turbo-Union RB.199-34R Mk 104 turbofans. They are rated at 40.48 kN dry and 73.48 kN with afterburning. These engines give the Tornado a speed of 2338 k/h when flying at an altitude of 11000 metres.
The Tornado’s engines are able to do short-field landings because they are equipped with thrust reversers.

The Armament
The Tornado is armed with a 27 millimetre IWKA-Mauser cannon. It also has four BAe  Sky Flash radar missiles and four AIM-9L Sidewinder heat-seeking missiles. Possibly in the future it will have six AIM-120 AMRAAMs.

Technical Details
The Tornado has a maximum speed of 2338 k/h. It has a combat radius of 1800 kilometres at subsonic speeds and 600 kilometres at supersonic speeds. The Tornado has a maximum altitude of 21000 metres.
