What Do We Do:
Working with the staff, the CSA holds regular open meetings for parents to discuss aspects of the curriculum and school policy. It provides a forum for parents to raise issues of general concern with other parents and with the Head and staff. However it does not involve itself in individual cases.
Through its affiliation with other organisations such as FACE (Fight Against Cuts in Education) it lobbies at local and national level for improved support for schools.
It plays a vital role in raising funds to buy equipment and cover other costs that cannot be met from existing budgets.
It communicates with families via a regular newsletter, distributed via the students. CSA newsletters appear once per term in the week before half-term. The Head's newsletters will appear in the first full week and the last week of each term. If you don't receive them ask your children why not.

What Have We Done?
A number of evening meetings have concentrated on different aspects of the curriculum, e.g. Geography and PE.
The CSA has contributed towards the cost of the multigym, support for field trips, the standing charge for the school's Internet connection, and musical instruments.

How Can I Become Involved:
By coming to meetings. CSA committee meetings are open to everyone and your participation is welcomed.
By contributing towards our fund-raising efforts. Many parents find it convenient to make a donation by covenant, which spreads the cost and enables us to benefit from a tax refund. Contact the Treasurer for details.
