At first I thought I would find a C19th book fairly tedious but as I got into it, it became more interesting. I was especially held by the role of Bathsheba, who was the main character and went from great ambitions to meeting and marrying a man of ruin. I didn't like the way the characters were swapped around in each chapter but they were all described extremely well and portrayed exactly. The language was fairly hard but not too confusing considering it was a C19th book. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good but lengthy read.
