This will boost his ranking even although he didn’t win Goran was desperate to break into the top 10 again he has not been playing well recently but this will boost his confidence

Tim Henman got knocked out in the first round he is ranked at 18 in the world.

Greg Rusedski wins the European community championships by beating Marc Rosset 76(3) 36 61 64. If he wins this tournament another 2 times in the next 5 years he gets to take the gold and diamond racket home with him. This racket is worth £1,000,000. The only person that has won this racket is Lendel. Greg Rusedski is now at number 5 in the Rankings released on Monday 23rd February 1998. Kafelnikov wins at London. He defeated Pioline. THE ALL STARS MAGICAL GAME – East 135 - West 114

 

Michael Jordan leads the East into another victory over the West. Kobe Bryant was obviously the one to watch though performing his 360° slam-dunk. Shortly after he scored another amazing slam-dunk when he passed the ball to Kevin Garnett and Garnett laid him up for an amazing powerful dunk. He is well know for excellent slam-dunks as he won the last slam-dunk competition. Kobe scored 18 points for the West. "We were in the locker room before we ran out there. I was a little nervous. I was shaky," said Bryant. "I had butterflies because I wanted this moment to come. Once I went out there, I was comfortable."

The 34-year-old Jordan, who also won the MVP award in 1988 and in 1996, thought the youngster showed remarkable poise. "He came at me early, which I would have done if I were him. If you see someone who's sick, or whatever, you've got to attack him. He attacked. I like his attitude."

Jordan was named the Most Valuable player he scored 23 points. The East beat the west again 135 – 114.
