The school has
a very active PTA and membership is automatically open to all
parents/guardians of children attending the school as well as
the teaching staff.
The object of the
PTA is to advance the education of the children, and in furtherance
of this the Association may:
- develop more
extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated
with the school;
- engage in activities
which support the school and advance the education of the children;
- provide and assist
in the provision of such activities, or items for education which
the PTA Committee, in consultation with the Governing Body shall
determine.
The management
of the Association rests with a committee which is elected at
the Annual General Meeting which is held early each Autumn term.
All members i.e: parents/guardians and teaching staff are notified
of the meeting and are invited to attend.

The committee
arrange an annual programme of fund raising events where parents,
guardians and teachers can meet socially and informally. Typical
of such events are: a summer fete, discos/dances, themed dinners
and sports eig: fun run and bicycling. Everyone is encouraged
to support these occasions by participating either by simply
turning up and having fun or, wherever possible, providing help.
All profits raised
by the PTA go towards providing financial assistance to the school
and its pupils, recent examples being contributed towards the
library infra structure and networked computer system, library
books, educational posters, prints and pictures, computer software,
and furniture and equuipment for the new classroom block.
