My Fair Lady

Every year at Coppice, The school organises a musical.  Our Productions are renowned throughout the area.  The purpose of this page is to show and describe past productions  as well as give you a preview of the forthcoming show.  Check back regularly for updates.

This is Steve Clifton.  He is currently Curriculum Area Manager of expressive and performing arts and has been the director of our school productions for the past 6 years.  Past productions lead by him include Oliver! in 2000, FAME! in 1999, The Sound Of Music in 1998, Annie in 1997, Grease in 1996, and finally Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat in 1995.

As in all of the productions, the pupils rehearse vigorously from September until the performance which begins usually towards the end of March, their effort and dedication can be proved by the number of congratulation letters sent in by members of the audience.  Many stating how remarkable the shows are - from the professionalism of the cast to the quality of the accompanying music.

The part of Eliza Doolittle is played for 2 performances by Faye Wilson - a year 11 pupil.  She regularly participates in the School productions, recently playing the part of  Serena in Fame!  Although studying for GCSE's she still finds time to actively participate in this show.

Pictured below are some other members of the cast,  and although they may not have starring roles in this production, their effort and commitment to the show is beyond doubt.

Tickets will be approximately £2.50 for children/OAP, and £3.50 for Adults
