Art

Information for Year 6 pupils

In Art you will have the opportunity to use a variety of different art media such as drawings, prints, painting, textiles and 3D work, especially clay.

You will practice and work on basic skills using nature, your own imagination and each other.

You'll look at, write down and discuss what you see, think and understand about a range of works of art from around the world. You will then use what you have learnt to stimulate and influence your own work.

Castle Rock has its own gallery of over 50 original works of art in different parts of the school.

The school regularly exchanges work with pupils in Japan. Pupils have also won prestigious competitions with their work, and have also been given the opportunity to take their Art GCSE early.
