	Have fun finding out about all different types of music from baroque to pop. You will learn to read music and make up your own compositions using a variety of instruments such as keyboard, drums, voice and other instruments from around the world. You will also have access to computers to carry out research using CD ROM's and the INTERNET.

	Areas of study in music are based around developing the skills of listening, appraising, performing and composing. Pupils who wish to learn to play specific instruments are encouraged to take peripatetic music lessons in school. There is also ample opportunity for involvement in extra curricular clubs as well as the annual school production.
