Geography

Information for Year 6 pupils

In Geography, you will learn skills like map reading, how to do surveys and write reports, working in the classroom and outside.

You will learn to look at your world from Coalville to Brazil. You will also study features like rivers, volcanoes and the weather, and be encouraged to think about the environment.

On special topics, you will work in groups to present your own ideas.

Information for Parents

We aim to foster an understanding of the modern world through the acquisition of geographical skills. Pupils study different places and themes. They have opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding through using a range of resources and participating in a variety of activities. Enquires and investigations help prepare pupils for GCSE courses.
