Gridlink's first pupil to sit GCSEs came through with passes in all his subjects:-
Information Systems - grade A
Physics - grade B
Geography - grade C
The Warwickshire student had been studying Geography and Physics with Gridlink since June 1995, having been out of school for the previous two-and-a-half terms. The Informations Systems course began only in November 1995.
Gridlink education director Alan Tootill says this is a splendid result, demonstrating how Gridlink's personal service can achieve for students what would otherwise be impossible in the timescale.
"With Gridlink there now is an effective way for Local Education Authorities to overcome their difficulties with out-of-school pupils, not just fulfilling their legal obligations but helping pupils with problems really achieve their potential".
