About Friends

Well, Friends is a hit US comedy, it is famous worldwide.   It is about 6 Friends who live close to one another in there flats.  They generally hang out at the local coffee house called 'Central Perk', where one of the workers 'Gunther' has got the hots for one of the cast members, Rachel.  The coffee house is set out half a normal tea room, but the other half is a sort of front room from your house, it has a 3-piece suite and a little coffee table.

The main charactors are:
    Joey Tribbiani - Matt Le Blanc >> an out of work actor who has been in a soap opera called the days of our lives, where he played a Dr Drake Ramoray.  He is a slightly dim charactor
    Chandler Bing - Matthew Perry >> enjoys cracking jokes about anything he can think of, but if someone says anything against his 3rd nipple he will not be happy.  Someone once left him because of it, and because of that has now had it removed.
    Ross Gellor - David Schwimmer >> a dippy Paleontologist, who, surprisingly is lucky when it comes to women falling for him, but not see at keeping them.  He is a very quiet, shy character.
    Monica Gellor - Courtney Cox >> Ross' sister, she is a compulsive perfectionist, once worked in a top class gourmet restaurant but lost it, and now has trouble finding any good jobs.   She is very forceful.
   Rachel Green - Jennifer Aniston >> a very into herself person, met most of the friends after running away from the alter at her own wedding to a dentist.  Was in love with Ross, but broke up after he slept with someone else.
    Phoebe Buffay - Lisa Kudrow >> a not so good guitar player, but still she plays in 'Central Perk', her songs consist of titles like,  'Smelly Cat' or 'Sticky Shoes'.  She is less intelligent than Joey, and could be mistaken for a hippy.

The Theme Tune

The original Friends theme for series 1-3 was played by the Rembrandts.  The Song was such a hit world-wide that they brought out an Album with the theme songs original format and a new full-length version, the CD also includes tunes from R.E.M., Lou Reed, K.D. Lang, Hootie and the Blowfish and more.  A new soundtrack album is rumoured to be coming out early this year.
