YR10 Cinema Visit

All year 10 pupils received free tickets to see a screening of a brand new film, 'The Girl With Brains In Her Feet'.  The writer, Jo Hodges, was available to be interviewed by pupils following the film.  It was an enjoyable experience.

Year 9 Language Project

For the second consecutive year, all year 9 pupils are writing stories for infant pupils at both St Francis and Bournville infant schools.
DEC pupils have already visited the schools to meet the pupils and talk to them about the kind of stories they like.  Our pupils are now in the process of writing them, ready to take them and read them to the infants in July.
