Our School

Dersingham Infant School is a co-educational county Infant day school for pupils aged 4 - 7. It is not affiliated to any particular religious denomination. We serve a multi-cultural community and try to reflect its rich diversity in our work. We are firmly committed to Newham`s policy for Equal Opportunities. We try to provide for the full range of pupil`s needs through strong pastoral care.

We like parents to feel free to visit us before their children reach school age, to help them with their choice of school. It is best to make an appointment, so that we can ensure somebody is able to see you.

We usually group children by their dates of birth, though we sometimes need to have mixed-age classes. Pupils enter into our Reception classes twice a year, in September and in January, at which point there are usually three classes of Reception pupils.
