Year Two Classes have been working on a topic about animals and on 23rd June, we went on a day trip to London Zoo.

We saw lots of different animals from all over the World, including large animals: Black Rhinos, Asian Elephants, Sumatran Tigers, Camels and Llamas.

We went into the Reptile House and saw lots of reptiles including Alligators and Turtles.

The Komono Dragon is the biggest lizard in the World and the Black Mamba is the deadliest snake in the World. Luckily they were all behind glass!

In the Hoofed Mammal area, we saw a family of Giraffes. The baby Giraffe only had one ear - it was removed because the Mother Giraffe kept chewing it.

In the same enclosure we saw Okapis ( a close cousin to the Giraffe) and Meerkats looking out for danger.

We had a great day out and saw lots of brilliant animals.
