To get to Thurso by road head north on the A9 from Inverness
at Latheron 25 miles south of Wick take the A895 and then the A882 which will take you to Thurso. the travel time will be about 7 hours from Glasgow so allow yourself plenty of time
There is a Train service via Inverness to Thurso & wick
By Air British Airway fly to Wick the cost is very high
