We carried out an experiment to find outwhat a seed needs in order to grow.

We took four small pots with compost and cress seeds in.

Pot 1 - We put dry seeds on the window sill.  

They had light and warmth but no water.

Pot 2 - We put moist seeds in a dark cupboard.

They had warmth and water but no light.

Pot 3 - We put moist seeds in the fridge.

They had light and water but no warmth.  

Pot 4 - We put moist seeds on the window sill.

They had water, warmth and light.
