Here are year 2's onomatopoeic poems about water.
By
Alice
Sound of Rain.
Whirling, twirling down the drain.
It's raining again.
Hear people's footsteps down the path
Plodding, Splodging.
Rain rushes down the drain,
Into the sewer gurgle gurgle.
Splodge in mud
Sputter, sputter.
Oh Yuk!
We scream
By Joseph.
Splish, Splash
Splish Splash Splutter
goes the rain on the gutter.
The rain goes whirling, gurgling.
Splish Splash Sploshing
goes the rain on the washing.
Lashing Loshing
on the crossing.
When the rain comes lashing
everything is crashing and wet!

We have also been writing water poems based on Christina Rossetti's poem, "What is Pink" Click on the cloud to see some of them.
