A few weeks ago we travelled to Knuston Hall where we were given the chance to try our hand at surfing the World Wide Web.
After indulging in coffee and home made biscuits it was time to get down to business!
Some of us had little or no computer experience, but we were all surprised at how quickly we found our way around. It was amazing to think how much information we had at our fingertips.
The first thing we had to learn was how to track down the web-site of a certain lower school. Having arrived safely at Eastfield On-Line we had instant access to a wealth of information about the school, from red noses to small ads, art gallery to history projects, and even news of what we have been up to. We each signed the guestbook before contacting the school by E-mail.
After a lot of perseverance we each managed to send a message successfully to the school by e-mail. All that remained was to enjoy a well-deserved coffee (and more homemade biscuits) before heading back to school.
On returning to school, we were disappointed to hear that our e-mails hadn't been received, but thanks to our resident technical genius, Mr Murdin, they were later recovered.
Now that we've mastered the Internet there'll be no stopping us!
Who knows what we'll try next?
