Eastfield Choir Sings at Derngate

Listen to part of our song.

On Tuesday 1st December, our School Choir sang at the Derngate Theatre in Northampton with 12 other Lower Schools and 4 Middle Schools in The Schools' Festival of Christmas Music.
We sang on the stage all by ourselves. Our song was called "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas".  There were over 1000 people in the audience and over 600 children singing.

Craig Pritchard wrote: "When I went to Derngate we went on a coach with loads of children. When we got there I saw some kids who used to go to Eastfield. We went through a tunnel and the Middle Schools sat in the seats and the Lower Schools sat on the floor. There were lots of lights. Some were flashing. When I went on stage and the lights were on us I felt shy and nervous. Lots of my friends were there and my best friend Eamonn. Eamonn was singing well, he sang Mistletoe and Wine by himself  last year  when he was in our choir. Lots of children were singing very well too. Mr Tyler was conducting us".
