Two men came from the Institute of Building Engineers came to Eastfield Lower School on Thursday 11^th February 1999.
Their names were Mr Bailey and Mr Dyke. It was their second visit to see the Year 3 children in class 5.

Before Christmas, class 5 had entered a competition to design our own village, organised by the Northamptonshire Construction Careers Forum, but the competition was cancelled because hardly any other schools had entered. We had already started work on the competition.

We'd thought hard about what buildings we needed to design for a village location and started our drawings.

Mr Bailey and Mr Dyke came on Thursday 17^th December 1998 to see the work done and spent half a morning talking to a group of seven children about their work.
