Why Give to Kitezh? In our society anyone who acquires a level of wealth or power feels the need to put it to good use, to change the world around them for the better. Giving financial support to a project that reflects this desire means that you are not just giving a penny to a starving beggar, but you are participating in an effort to build a stronger base for society. Everyone who comes to Kitezh can find their own place, their own way to take part in this work. It may be to support Kitezh with money, maybe to bring special expertise or information, or simply to come and give love and understanding to the children. Long Term Plans: To build Orion, a second children's village between Kitezh and Moscow. To create conditions for resident families at Kitezh with all the functions of a normal village Modernise and expand the existing energy system in Kitezh (install new transformers) or create an alternative power supply system. Install a Gas line for the whole village. Install an additional water tower. Build a Reedbed waste water system to improve and expand existing sewerage system. Construct 5 combined houses (home & classroom) for new resident foster families Build a Centre of Arts with studios and a Performance Hall. Build a Sports Hall Open a branch of the Moscow Institute of Pedagogics and Psychology for Kitezh graduates with qualified sociologists and psychologists. Develop existing opportunities for Kitezh to finance itself. Create a new system of selecting and integrating children from orphanages. Expand the number of summer camps for children from local orphanages.  Create a Children in Crisis programme of therapeutic education for children in difficulty whose natural parents can pay for them to stay in Kitezh. Create computerised educational audiences. Improve the living conditions of Kitezhans by renovating existing houses and add extra bedrooms to the second floor of all houses. Install a telephone line. Improve transport (a large bus).
