The EDIT Team provide a Core Service to all schools in Rochdale LEA to enhance their administration and management through the use of computer systems. The Core Service for the Administrative systems originally provided under the LMS (Local Management of Schools) Scheme includes the following areas;

Systems Installation and Development

The Team have developed a range of systems including a Pupil and Staff Database system, systems for conversion of data and systems to monitor and improve service provision to schools.

Administration of Computer Hardware and Software Maintenance Contracts

Computer hardware in schools is maintained through various contracts depending on it's supplier and the age of the equipment. The SIMS software is updated through an annual maintenance fee paid by the LEA which is significantly cheaper and offers a better level of service than individual school licences.14111.jpg (16471 bytes)
