Seamus Kelly    Information Systems Co-ordinator  

 Team leader Seamus Kelly is responsible for the management of the EDIT Team, formulating and monitoring business plans and ensuring that the Team's resources are used to best effect. Seamus is also the SIMS Co-ordinator for Rochdale responsible for liaison with SIMS Ltd. who provide the schools administrative software package. Along with the management role Seamus is involved in the delivery of training and technical support, answering telephone queries etc.

Stephen Frost and Dave Rothwell Information Systems Projects

Stephen and Dave are responsible for most of the technical support provided to schools and for the development and testing work necessary for the EDIT Team to keep up to date with the systems used in schools and to maintain them successfully. Both are involved in training schools and in the production of course notes and presentations to help our clients understand their systems. Both Stephen and Dave support the Netware and Windows NT Networks in secondary schools, Windows for Workgroups and Windows 95 systems in primary schools and are skilled in diagnostics and repairs of wiring, hardware etc. They maintain the hardware and software systems used by the EDIT Team and develop applications to support the work of the Team. Recent project have included work with communications, remote control software, backup systems and extensive work on our Support Database system.

Robert Thornsby   Administrative Officer - EDIT

Robert is responsible for providing administrative support to the EDITTeam. The role includes administering training courses, making bookings, arranging refreshments and keeping records of attendance. Robert also deals with correspondence and telephone queries. The role also involves assisting with budgetary procedures including processing of orders, invoices and keeping our financial system up to date.

Kashif Nazir  Modern Apprentice (Administration)

Kashif is serving a Modern Apprenticeship which, at the same time as giving experience in a range of administrative work, will lead towards and NVQ Level 3 qualification in administration. Much of the time Kashif works along with Robert and is learning the skills and procedures of administration. Kashif has become skilled in the use of computer systems in the execution of his work and is able to answer some of the user support calls received from schools.

Dave Cattlin Information Systems Support

The IS Support Officer will be responsible for the provision of user support and training in the use of the computer based administrative systems used by schools. When appointed the officer will become heavily involved in the
