Some of our children wrote about the Bishop's visit so I don't need to write any more!
| On the 23 October...the Bishop of Jarrow
came to our school to talk to us about the life of a Bishop. He talked to
the whole school in assembly and later with year 6.
The first thing he did was introduce himself and then he started to show us some of his things. The bishop of Jarrow chose someone from class six to come out and hold a crook .

| He then got a lantern and he put it on
the crook. Soon he got out a matchstick and lit the lantern.
After we looked at the crook the Bishop got out a wooden cross. After we looked at the cross he passed it round the classes. |

| Then he got out a ring and told us all about it. Then he passed it around the school while we looked at the cross. | ![]() |
