Write Your own Web Pages
Please conform to the Fairfax standards.
You may be wandering how web pages are created. The following documents
may be useful to you in writing your own web pages.
HTML is the language which is used. It stands for Hyper Text Markup Language.
A markup language relies upon MARKS to be positioned in the document to say
what everything means. You will find out more from the Beginner's Guide and
Reference Guide below.

You could use the template below to change a few things and see how a basic
web page works. Simply goto VIEW then select SOURCE then edit it. To view it,
save it as a .htm file in your own area and change the address appropriately.
A Template for You
There are plenty of PICTURES in the CLIPART directory - f:\apps\intranet\clipart You
can use these in your documents as well. If you use pictures of your own (eg animated icons,
lines etc then please use GIF of JPG format and not BMP or TIF.
If you develop your own original site and want to put it on the school INTRANET and
external WEB SITE then please see Mr Long. Also see Mr Long (after Easter) if
you are interested in helping to develop the school pages.
