Aims and Objectives....

Aims

To develop the talents each child has to the highest degree possible.
To encourage pupils to have a positive attitude towards learning and improvement through self review.
To help each pupil to aspire to what is possible and never to settle for second best.
To promote self-esteem, and respect and tolerance towards oneself and others.
To promote in pupils a sound understanding of morality.
To provide a safe and stimulating environment in which to learn.

Objectives
Have access to all aspects of the national curriculum.
Experience a balanced programme of study to prepare them for future life and adulthood.
Have regular opportunities to ask questions, seek information and participate in problem solving.
Develop the key skills of communication, numeracy and IT.
Recognise and develop their creativity, imagination and aesthetic potential.
Recognise the spiritual and religious dimensions of life.
Will be positively concerned about their health and physical well being.
Plan and participate in a variety of recreational activities.
Enjoy and effectively use a safe environment.
Be provided with the opportunities to contribute to the development of the school community.
Experience work both as and individual and as a team activity.
Be able to monitor their progress as a result of regular testing, examinations and thorough assessment.
Be the opportunity to improve on their previous best by tests provided with appropriate I.S.
Be provided with appropriate learning support.
See learning as worthwhile and enjoyable.
Receive help in finding a suitable career or further education.
Have opportunities to undertake positions of responsibility.
Have high expectations for themselves.
Be challenged to produce work appropriate to their level of ability.
Treat others with respect and courtesy.
Understand and comply with the difference between right and wrong.
Have respect for the environment, both immediate and at large.
Care about other people and demonstrate this care in practical ways.
