|
The CSYS course attempts to extend the breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding of computing concepts acquired at Higher Grade, and encourage independent investigative inquiry into developments in computing.
Equal amounts of time are spent on a study of selected topics, and a project.
Topics can be selected
from the following:
Artificial Intelligence
Communications
Computer Systems
Control Applications
Software Development Process
The project is a major piece of independent inquiry involving computer-based activity and will provide a focus for the application of the analytical approach to the solution of a computing problem. The project will also demand the ability to manage time and resources and to produce a report. The primary basis for the choice of project is the candidate's interest.
The CSYS course has been replaced with Advanced Higher.
