Who is here to help?

WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU

GUIDANCE STAFF
Your guidance teacher is available to help you. Feel free to approach him or her - you don't need to wait until a crisis comes along!

CAREERS OFFICER
You can ask for an interview with the school's Careers Officer at any time during the session. Interview request slips are available from Mrs Esslemont. You should complete one of these forms and hand it to Mrs Esslemont; you will then be told when your interview is.

THE CAPTAINS AND PREFECTS
A number of senior pupils hold badges of office. Part of their duties is to ensure that all pupils enjoy school and feel safe. If you wish help or advice you can ask a Captain or Prefect.

BUDDIES
Some of the senior pupils have volunteered to be a Buddy. If you feel that you are under pressure e.g. bullying, from another pupil, or a group of pupils, tell one of the Buddies and they will arrange to get you help from a teacher, usually your Guidance teacher.

SCHOOL LIBRARIAN
The Library is available to all pupils in the school. Mrs Murdoch will be happy to help you find any books or information you need. The Library also houses computers fitted with CD Rom drives and the school is building up a collection of CD Rom Discs. There is also a connection to the Internet which you can book through Mrs Murdoch. Once again Mrs Murdoch will be happy to show you how to work these and tell you what is available.
