TARGET

The targets of the Learning Skills team are:

NATIONAL PRIORITY 5: LEARNING FOR LIFE
To equip pupils with the foundation skills,attitudes and expectations necessary to prosper in a changing society and to encourage creativity and ambition.

LOCAL IMPROVEMENT OBJECTIVE 9
We will promote the Fraserburgh Learning Skills Curriculum and the Education for Enterprise curriculum in our schools.

LEARNING SKILLS

An approach focussing on the process of learning. It involves:

• Co-operative Learning
• Collaboration
• Celebration of Success
  

DELIVERY & SUPPORT

Delivery and support will be through general mainstream curriculum or stand alone focussing on:

• Accelerated Learning Techniques
• Reading and Writing: theme-based - rolling programme with INSET
• Active learning skills: positive behaviour, team building
• Accelerated Reader with INSET
• Delivery of Study Skills

• Promotion of Citizenship
