As the Academy in Mid Street could not cope with the ever increasing numbers of pupils it was decided to build a new Academy building on Finlayson Street. The building of the second Academy on Finlayson Street was opened in June1909 by Dr Dunn the Chief Inspector of Schools. The cost of the new building was £7,215. |
