Pictured above are Mr Charles Buchan (B.Sc.Abdn.), Miss Judith Edwards (B.Sc.Glasgow) and Mr Alistair Dixon (B.Sc.Edin.), three members of the four strong Physics teaching team at the Academy, along with Dr Alobadi from The Robert Gordon University, and his research assistants, who are Ph.D. students on an exchange visit from Heidelberg University in Germany.
Dr Alobadi and his team gave our fifth and sixth year Physics pupils a most interesting and enjoyable presentation on the uses of state-of-the-art laser technology, including North Sea oil-slick "fingerprinting" from aircraft, and fusion induction, as well as H-Grade and CSYS demonstrations using high powered lasers.
