ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
![]() |
Primary 7 pupils spent an enjoyable week at Glenshee in October. A varied programme of practical activities linked to their conservation theme, and several other outdoor pursuits kept the class busy from morning till night. Gorge walking, the ropes course and tree climbing all proved very popular activities. |
AMERADA HESS AWARD
We were delighted to learn that Fyvie School had been awarded £750, the top grant given to a school under the Grounds for Learning Award Scheme for improving playground areas.
The award is to transform the front tarred quadrangle with paints into an imaginary mapscape for both curricular and play use; and to turn the shelter shed, at the rear of the school, into an outdoor gathering area. (Ideas on display in school.) This is part of our wider school grounds plan which includes the tarred areas, the playing fields and the wildlife area, all of which we will keep you updated on.
