Our School

History of Our School.

This wasn't the first Gargunnock Primary school building. The first one was built at the community centre. The reason for the school being moved was that the original building was not big enough for all the new students attending.
As the village grew, with Drummond Place being added, the number of students increased, so the council had to relocate the school.

The School Just Now

Gargunnock Primary School is situated in a small village six miles west of Stirling. It is on Station Road. It has a large playground, five classrooms, a dining hall, kitchens, medical room, staff room, girls toilets and boys toilets.
Gargunnock Primary has around 100 pupils. There are five teachers. In P.6/7, P.5 (headteacher), P.4, P2/3 and finally P1/2.
The hall is used for many things including P.E, lunchtimes, music, country dancing, table tennis and assemblies. It is also used to contain Table Tennis tables, a piano, the lunch tables and coat racks.

The Wildlife Garden
The Wildlife Garden has lots of living things such as butterflies, birds and insects etc. It also has a bird table and lots of flowers. Every year we go into the Wildlife Garden and draw and write about the different kinds of plants and animals.

The Playground

Netball Court & Football Pitch

All the children play on the football pitch when the grass is dry. When the grass is wet the footballers play on the Netball Court. We have our races around the football pitch. We also have gym there when it is a nice day.

Paintings & Stony Playground

We have paintings at the back of our school to play on. There is hopscotch, a tig bit, a number game, footprints, cake numbers and a snake. The stony playground is a playground with tyres big and small, a tunnel, a balancing beam and a bridge.
