Want to use photos in your work sheets or Power
Point presentations? Nothing simpler, just use the photos from this site. The
photos on each page are seen as "thumbnails" which means that the full-sized
version of the photo can be seen by clicking on it. To download a particular picture, right-click over it and select Save
Picture, choose the folder where you wish to save the picture. You can then use the
picture which is in gif format in your work. Most modern programs will recognize Gif
format.
Alternatively you can download the Zipfiles that contain all the
photos. You will need to have installed Winzip on your computer. This is
available to trial from www.winzip.com or on
most free CDROMS with computer magazines.
If you find the food photos a little dark you can use a program
like Paint Shop Pro to lighten them.
I have plenty more pictures to put on and will be doing, time
permitting.
The original pictures are not particularly big, so do not
increase the size of them too much or they will pixellate.
Methodology
Think about how you can use photos in your teaching. Where
is it better to use them than clipart?
Photos come out well on OHTs although you need to buy the special
type of OHT which is more expensive than ordinary.
