Energy monitor computer.

We have just installed a computer into school which monitors all the electricity, water and oil we use in school. The system was installed by   and uses a piece of software called 'ECO warrior'. It also produces graphs and tables of costs of the energy we use per day, week, month, quarter and year. We have already investigated why the school uses electricity during the night! We hope that we will be able to save electricity by watching how  and when we use it, and how much at various times of the day/ week/year and during the holidays. The ECO club are learning how to use it and provide information for the rest of the school to use.

We hope the children will be able to do some of their Maths data handling and data logging through the use of this computer. We would like thank Mike Webb from Telford/Wrekin Council for all his help with installing the computer which is the first in a school in our LEA. We also hope to compare energy use with the automatic weather station computer which is right next to our Energy computer system.
