Welcome to our school which was opened by Margaret Thatcher in 1971 and is situated in the Stoke Park Area of Ipswich.   The school's purpose-built, open-plan building is bright and attractive and is designed to provide a learning environment which can be used flexibly, with the aim of developing to the full the abilities of every child.

There are three main units to the school.  Each of the units has a theme to the class names.   The infants from Year R to Year 2 are named after birds, the lower juniors from Year 3 to Year 4 are named after flowers and the upper juniors from Year 5 to Year 6 are named after wild cats.

The infants unit consists of one Reception class named Bluebirds and four classes including both Year 1 & 2 named Robins, Sparrows, Swallows and Larks. The lower juniors unit consists of four classes including both Year 3 & 4 named Buttercups, Snapdragons, Sunflowers and Thistles.  The upper juniors unit consists of two classes of Year 5 named Panthers and Jaguars and two classes of Year 6 named Leopards and Tigers

There are over 400 children on roll, aged between four and eleven years old.  With a strong pastoral tradition and a dedicated teaching staff, we feel that the school has an especially personal and happy atmosphere, helping the children to develop self-confidence and providing a sense of security within which independence can develop.

We have a large sports dome which includes a heated swimming pool area.  This pool is used for two terms by all the children in the school.  The sports dome is well equipped with sporting equipment to enable the children to develop team activities and motor skills.
