The Heybridge Centre is an education, training and enterprise centre. It is located in a former primary school situated in The Street, Heybridge near Maldon, Essex. Maldon is SW of Colchester and East of Chelmsford.
It is part of Essex Local Education Authority and was opened in May 1992. It provides local business, education and the community with the following services:

The Essex Young Enterprise Centre exists to assist young people to develop a business for themselves by offering a low rental unit, free business advice and counselling.
Office services are available on site. There are 10 units available, each with an average of 200 square feet of office space.
The Blackwater Management Centre offers professional development seminars to both business and education establishments.
A team of professional consultants is able to offer courses varying from half day to one week in length and the venue can be either at The Heybridge Centre, the customer's own training premises or other suitable locations.
Prices are very competitive, with discounts available for education/Essex County Council. Negotiations are taking place with Anglia Polytechnic University for Blackwater Management Centre's courses to be accredited towards a higher qualification.
The Euro Bureau provides curriculum advice, resources and
support for the European Dimension in schools and colleges.
In addition it can arrange concessionary travel for
Essex school/college groups travelling to Europe.
Insurance cover can also be provided for group travel, including work experience, at favourable premiums.
The Euro Bureau has hosted a number of European conferences and seminars.

It also provides opportunities for schools and colleges to experience enterprise activities.
Launch Pad Nursery School offers nursery provision within their own school at The Heybridge Centre. Accommodation is for up to 20 two to five year olds and is available daily from 7am to 7pm. All pupils follow a programme linked to the National Curriculum.
