A moderate, left-of-centre political party committed to the
establishment of an independent Scottish Parliament. Second largest party by number of votes, in Scotland.
Saltire Society
Non-political organisation which aims to improve the quality
of life in Scotland and restore the country to its proper place
as a creative force in European civilisation.

Democracy for Scotland
A non-party political network with the following aims:-
- To maintain "The Vigil for a Scottish Parliament" which was set up
on the 10th April 1992. To do so until a Scottish Parliament is in
place.
- To campaign, using all peaceful means necessary, for the recall of the Scottish
Parliament, to be elected by a fair voting system.
- To promote decentralisation of the decision making process to the regions,
districts and communities of Scotland.

Andrew Fletcher Society
An independent organisation which exists to stimulate discussion of ideas,
issues and developments affecting the life of the nation. This it does by a regular newsletter,
Fletcher Forum and the organisation of meetings and symposia.
